About Carol
Carol has been actively involved with the Virginia Court Reporters Association (VCRA) for 14 years, including serving as President from 2015–2017. She’s supported VCRA through roles on the Legislative and Convention Committees, served as Interim Executive Director in 2023, and chaired several key committees. As President, she also introduced the Distinguished Service Award, presenting it to Senator Mark Obenshain for his support of anti-third-party contracting legislation.
Carol is currently serving a two-year term as a Director for the National Court Reporters Association (2023–2025) and was appointed to the Court Reporter’s Advisory Group (2023–2026), which advises the U.S. Administrative Office. Carol serves on NCRA’s Finance and Policies & Procedures Committees and a member-focused task force. Prior roles include serving on the A to Z®, Brand Ambassadors Committees, and nine years with the National Congress of State Associations (NCSA), six as Chair or Co-Chair. Carol played a key role in NCSA’s transition to a Congress, revamped the resolution process, and authored several Board-adopted resolutions, including exam history reinstatement and online voting for dues increases.
